Hey mom and dad!!! Im glad things are going well!! I wish i could be there with the family!! I love to see daddy and brayden!!! he is so cute!! I also love the color of the door, it looks great!!!!! I am happy for Cody getting his license! Tell him not to drive too fast haha! It did feel weird not going to santa cruz this year but in 2 we can go again! This week has been great! My lessons are getting better and better and I can understand more and more and communicate super well! i dont really even need to speak english! We just started TRC where we teach random people and we dont know anything about them! This time we couldnt teach though because our investigator didnt show up so we sent an email and set up another appointment tomorrow! My district is super cool and we all cant wait to get out of here and actually get in the field! I cant tell you how excited I am for Brennan to be here! I found out the day i fly to argentina i can call home for a few hours! I loved the package this week and everyone loved the cookies and i love eating the queso con chips! Thank you! I eat soo much here, im sure you can see how ive gained weight from my pictures haha! I wish i could have some real salsa! I told my district how good your salsa is and how I literally drink it! Thank you for telling people to write me I really do love it! keep telling more i love hearing from everyone! Tell josh from sub depot i miss having the whistle stop and that he better be ready for when i get back home! Thank you for the advice daddy I am doing my best! The scriptures have been a help! Yesterday in my lesson i recited the first vision in spanish and is was pretty cool. I am still in the process of memorizing more sctiptures but i think that one is super powerful for investigators to hear and then they want to try for themselves and see what is the true church. I love you and cant wait to email you again on Tuesday! I look forward to it!!!

PS i have been balling it up on the court! we got a new district on wednesday and they have one baller so it has been pretty fun!

Week 1 (May 13, 2014)

Hola everybody!!!! the first week has been super fun! i gotta be honest the first two days felt like 2 years, but the past few days have gone by pretty fast! Mi companero es Elder Ramos and in my district there is Elder Preston, Faalogo, Farnsworth, and Wessel! They are all super cool and we get along very well! right when you get to the MTC they keep you pretty busy; we study like 6-7 hours a day and it is actually pretty fun because I am learning so much about myself and the gospel! Thursday, our second day in the MTC, we had to prepare our first lesson for our first investigator whos name is Jorge. Keep in mind Jorge does not know any spanish and it was very hard to communicate with him because our knowledge in spanish was small. the first lesson went well and we couldnt really say anything besides our testimonies which is powerful in itself. The second lesson i thought it would be a great idea to invite the spirit by singing Creo en Cristo (I Believe In Christ). the spirit was very strong in the room and my companion and i had prayed before that we may speak the things which we want to say. the lesson went better as planned and i didnt even need to really look at my notes at all which was amazing! the third lesson went better than was planned and we knew the spirit was directing us on what to say because after we were like "I dont even remember what I said, it just flowed out of my mouth!" the fourth lesson which was yesterday, we asked him to be baptized, but he said he wasnt ready, and asked that we give him a little more time which is still okay! we are planning on teaching him about the Book of Mormon and how it goes hand in hand with the bible and I know it is going to go perfectly! Sunday was the first time the MTC got to call home on Mother's Day! How lucky am I!! Today we have had a great first pday! we went to the temple and did a session and went to Sacred Gifts, which are paintings of Jesus Christ through his life like healing the sick, the atonement, and when he was crucified, and it was amazing to get to see them. As I have been reading the scriptures and listening to talks and giving lessons, I have learned that I need to love everyone and I need to love those that I teach. And teaching by the spirit is a wonderful feeling. I tell you, after we teach Jorge we are like WOW that was amazing and it makes me want to keep learning and be the best I can be. Id like to bear my testimony in spanish:

Yo se que, Jesucristo es el hijo de Dios. Yo se que, el libro de mormon es verdadero. Yo se que nosotros necesitamos mucho la fe. Yo se que la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Santos Dios es verdadero tambien. Yo se que la expiacion de Jesucristo fue necesario para volvemos a dios.

Week 2 (May 20, 2014)

Hola everyone!!

 this past week has been great!! I love my companion and my district!! We all get along very well! This week Elder Bednar came and spoke to us at the MTC!! It was crazy! I was kind of taken back when I saw him! It was awesome, he told us to ask him any questions and he would answer it to the best of his abilities. He is an amazing man and I know he was called of God to be an Apostle. We still have been trying to improve our spanish day by day, and i think i have been improving a ton! I am glad everything is going well back home, I love getting the Dear Elder notes everyday, keep them coming! I still have been working hard everyday and enjoy doing the Lords work! We are teaching two new investigators, who are Fulgencio and Alan. Hopefully by the end of the week we can get a baptismal date! By the way, I was thinking about that 3 point shot against Rio the other day! By far the best shot ever! These two weeks have not been the easiest, but it has been fun and nice being with a great District who all have the same goal! Today, we went to the Temple again which is always great and we got to get some burgers and Jamba Juice! I love you all, please send me more letters, I really love it when i get letters, it makes my day!
